ACPII addressed the IMO - Legal Committee

It was a great honor for the ACPII to attend the 110th meeting of the Legal Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). (LEG 110) 26-31 March 2023 in London
The Association of Commercial P&I Insurers (ACPII) was invited to present the nature and scope of the Association to the members of the Secretariat IMO Legal Committee. On 29th of March 2023, in an informative presentation, the ACPII represented by
Liv Irene Loland and Bianca te Poele, clarified the necessity for founding the Association and discussed the mission statement and objectives of the ACPII, of which the most important one is to be the reference point for quality commercial P&I insures in the global markets. The presentation was followed by a nice lunch for all the delegates.
 
 The ACPII was founded in April 2022 by Hydor AS and MS Amlin Marine, with a clear objective to create a platform where the quality players can come together and cooperate on issue of common interest. Our ambition is ensure a single voice for the quality commercial P&I insures that can engage with all relevant stakeholders in the maritime industry. We aim to become an active partner that can contribute to vital process related to our industry , and to share information and knowledge. The ACPII is committed to contribute with training , information and awareness - and be the reference point for quality commercial P&I Insures outside the mutual system

Presenting the ACPII to the IMO Legal Committee last week marks an important milestone for the association. We look forward to continue this wok and to further engage with IMO, IOPC and all flag states, government agencies, regulators and other international maritime organisations, and to contribute in any way we possibly can.
